Prologue Out Now!

The Story

Ferelden, 8:82 Blessed.

The Orlesian occupation rules the land with an iron fist, while revolutionaries fight and die under the Rebel Queen's banner. As the recently promoted Knight-Corporal of Kinloch Hold's Circle of Magi, you are a proud member of the Templar Order, a 'politically neutral' force for good in this time of great darkness. So when your Knight-Captain absconds with a heavily pregnant mage, you are assigned the arduous task of hunting them down—as quickly and as discreetly as possible.

Yet all is not what it seems. Malevolent forces prowl both the dreaming and waking worlds, and a betrayal from within your ranks forces a choice: deliver the child to a distant safe haven, or die. Now saddled with a newborn and with no real alternatives, you find yourself leading an eclectic group of outcasts through a land torn apart by civil war, where loyalties, allegiances, and faith will all be put to the ultimate test.

  • Lead a group of five companions through civil war-torn Ferelden and beyond. Form connections: influence and be influenced in return.
  • Multiple endings for both the main story and individual companions, including romances.

The Knight-Corporal

  • Customizable MC including appearance, name, and gender identity.
  • Choose from four different backgrounds to determine your surname and unique starting origin.

  • Balance your lyrium gauge to utilize powerful templar abilities...or don't. Only good dogs heed the leash.

The Companions

  • Will you cultivate an unbreakable bond with a friend or earn the begrudging respect of a rival? Featuring a DA2-inspired friendship/rivalry system.
  • Pursue one of four romance options with or without your pants on (ace friendly).
  • Sometimes a crew is six strangers, a weird baby, and a dog. The dog's name is customizable; the baby's is not.

(+3)

omggg. as i diehard fan of the games I can't believe i am only seeing this now 😭 thank you for making this <3

(+3)

Awesome demo! Feels like Dragon Age but is definitely it's own tale. It's brilliantly written, excited to see more of the characters.

(+8)

The demo was amazing! What an wonderful way to really get more DA to the fans.

(+3)

Well, guess my Dragon Age obsession is coming back in full force.

(+4)

This demo is so good, I can't wait for more (I can, everything you share is a gift) but the detail and characterization is so fuckin cool and i just RAAGGHHH gnaws at this and shakes it in my mouth like a dog with a chew toy

(+4)

Wow, this seriously is so good. I just finished the demo and the amount of detail in the circle tower and in this time period in Thedosian history is just awesome. I never thought I'd enjoy playing a templar but it's such an interesting position to be in. Fantastic job :)

(+5)

Love it a lot. You managed to really sell the templar life, I could easily get into the character despite not really caring much for templars before now. Based on everything so far can't wait to see how you write the political conflict as well. Keep it up👍🏻

I know very well that the story is about a Templar, but considering that one of the underlying themes is that you're part of the Circle, couldn't you include something to embrace your magical heritage in secret, like when your magical power awakened you were practically a Templar already?

(+5)

I loved this a massive dragon age fan please keep working on this

(+3)

Enjoyed this very much. I loved the many options for turning points in the story. Also the character I experienced is well conceived. I deeply felt her sadness and angst over the life she's led.

(+3)

Such a cool concept, this was so well written I can't wait for more!!

(+4)

This was really fun to play and the writing is incredible, really gives of the DAO vibes, excited to see where the story goes!

(+8)

You deserve quite a lot of credit.  I have loved Dragon Age all these years, and during that entire time, I have despised Templars.  I also have a rather strong dislike for being forced to play games as a human in any fantasy setting (I was incredibly disappointed being forced to play as Hawke in DA2).  But despite all this, your writing is so well done, and the story intriguing enough for me to want to continue to read it.  I do so hope you keep it up!

(+4)

I wish you luck in your writing and in life; the book looks fantastic.

(+5)

Great writing and incredibly cool concept! It feels like a retun to Origins in the best way, with a fresher and bolder flavor. I'm really excited to play more :)

I love this! I can’t wait for more. Thanks for all your hard work!
